University of Washington, Tacoma: Graduated, March 2020. B.A. Arts, Media, and Culture. Minor in Sociology.
With a passion for photography and social justice with a strong emphasis on the protest movement that began last May after George Floyd’s death, Maile has photographed more than fifty marches, and events. She has also gathered footage in support of BIPOC and Transgender peoples. To add to that she covered multiple events and stories for two local online newspapers, the South Seattle Emerald, and Seattle Refined.
Maile continues to grow and refine her craft by helping OST and other organizations capture events and stories that bring awareness and give a voice and representation to communities that might not have a voice or be represented.
